  1. very doable - even 100 years ago people would mail the old fashioned letters and make a move over a period of days.

now of course you can either send e-mail with chess designations for the moves or better yet

search google for chess games online - pick one you like and set it up with both sides.

very very doable - with not much effort

here's one of many many:   www.FreeGames08.com/Chess

  2. Yahoo Games has chess. You can play with anyone around the world.

  3. you could do it online, like an online version

  4. Richard's PBeM server is awesome; there are many games in addition to chess; there are many talented players willing to help teach strategy.  They can play just each other or lots of other very strong players. The site is

    http://www.gamerz.net/

I have found that this is a safe place for children.

  5. They could play chess online. It's free, and you can play in real time so it's just like a real game.

My favourite site to play chess on is right here on Yahoo. Both kids will just have to sign up on Yahoo, then they can play all they want for free:

    http://games.yahoo.com/ch

Gameknot is also a good site. You don't have to play the whole game all at once; you can make it spread over weeks if you want. So if you want an in depth game, you should try Gameknot:

    http://gameknot.com/

If they have MSN messenger, I believe there's also a little chess applet in that. You should take a look.

Correspondance by mail works, too. Just draw up a chess board, write the move you want to play down, then send it over to Spain. It takes a lot longer, and costs a bit, but if you're old-fashioned, go for it.

    Good luck!

  6. correspondence chess either by e-mail or regular mail.

  7. Have them join www.pogo.com and play chess for free

  8. They can play on http://PlayChess.com

  9. play online. There's lots of sies, even yahoo, last I checked, that let you do that.

    Cheers

  10. You can buy a plane ticket, OR, I think there are online sites where you can play with someone in real time.

    Good luck.
