I need a place in the D.C./Alexandria Virginia area. Somewhere around twenty to thirty people, and I really wish it wasn't too expensive. All the places i've looked at are crazy. Or a place that rents yachts, (my dad has a boating license) thanks so much!

  1. Hey...some people are just idiots...whadaya do?  Unfortunately in these times we're not allowed to kill people before they can breed.

Now to your plans....yeah...hit the marinas and yacht clubs....make up a letter or flyer...ask for the marina manager or the yacht club commodore...

If you see women on the docks...approach them...at least that way you won't get hooked up with some sleezebag boat guy.

Good luck....My boat is too far away(near Toronto) or I'd help ya...

  2. Go down to the harbor area in Washington around Water St. SW and check out the Capital Yacht Club.   There is a guy there who will probably be able to help you.  He runs the club, but I can't remember his name.  He will know what is available.

Another possibility is just a short distance away from the yacht club at Gangplank Marina.  They operate an evening dinner cruise out of there.

Best of luck with your plans.

  3. "All the places i've looked at are crazy. "..- You obviously don't know how crazy the expenses are to own, slip, insure, operate a yacht.

I don't think a non-commercial boating 'license' exist (per se') in the DC Area,

  4. If you're from California, than there is only one possibility - Rapture.

  5. You parents have too much money.

Sweet sixteen on a yacht is a crime.

You're right, when I am in Nepal next month working with physically-challenged kids who can't get an education because it is believed they are cursed from past life sins, I will try and explain the excess of the Sweet 16 party.

  6. take a cruise and invite some of your friends onto the boat before it leaves.  My friend had his wedding that way.
