  1. Never really been to Vietnam, but this is what I found:

Advise - exercise caution and monitor developments that might affect your safety in Vietnam because of the risk of criminal activity.

Pay close attention to your personal security and monitor the media for information about possible new safety and security risks.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed human deaths from avian influenza in Vietnam.

Penalties for drug offences are severe and include the death sentence. Vietnamese authorities have announced increased security measures to combat drug trafficking.

But there's nothing safe so go if you want to :)

  2. Where would you be travelling?  Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have good 5-star hotels.  Generally it is safe for a woman to walk alone in either city, but exercise common sense like not walking alone after 11pm on the streets.  Health-wise, it's just the common pre-caution like not eating along side-streets if your tummy is weak, drink bottled water etc.  Hope this helps ;)

  3. Last time I went to Vietnam  I had to carry a loaded M-16 the entire time I was there.   :-)

  4. Yes It's Safe During The Morning And The Afternoon, But It's Not Safe During The Night And Evening        P.S I Know This Cuz I Lived In Vietnam

  5. Vietnam is a very dangerous place, car crash every second. Its a good idea to have someone with you. Dont wear to much fancy stuff with purses and jewlury because *weird things* may happen. Trust me & the police won't do anything if you get robbed. Just dont be to flashy
