  1. I believe the best curriculum any early childhood teacher can use is a blend of ideas from Emergent Curriculum, the Project Approach and the Reggio philosophy. They all sort of overlap and blend together, sharing similar ideas.  For me, it's the only way to teach!

These links really sum it up well and give great advice also.

  2. i have used a few different curriculum's but found the creative curriculum to be successful. it is designed for all children and includes all of the development areas. you can access it from any computer. it helps you with appropriate lesson plans, keep up with each child's development, shows the child's progress, ...

you should take a look at it.

    good luck! :)

  3. I've worked with the Creative Curriculum and have high respect for it.

  4.   HighScope Curriculum is what my classroom uses.  It has an open approach to learning and a great assessment. It is used with children 3 to 6 years of age.  Check it out at Highscope.net  It is the best I have ever used.

  5. Work sampling is good.  I'm not sure of the website address.

  6. My favorite is project construct.  I love it!

  7. Abeka has wonderful results!

  8. Take a look at the Creative Curriculum. It combines the best of all the child centered philosophies. It is not a day by day curriculum, rather it is a whole approach. You can find information at: creative curriculum.net  Another interesting approach is High Scope.Their info is at highscope.org . Stay away from the prepackaged ones. They make not attempt to incorporate the children's interests and assume that all children learn the same way.

  9. A Beka Curriculum... It is a Christian curriculum made from Pensacola Christian College. It is a wonderful curriculum for young ages. Has everything that you need. It is very colorful and is very easy to understand.
