Members of a country's foreign service or diplomatic corps who are accredited to serve in another country get diplomatic passports from their government proving they work for that government's foreign service.  Upon entering the country where they are assigned to work for their embassy or consulate, they must present their credentials to the host country to be granted a diplomatic visa.
