I dont really have nothing against her but I think It kills the edge of experience John mccain had over Obama now I think the country is in turmoil mccain is not the healthiest person and she is just a heartbeat away from the presidency and in these times is she really ready Im scared now I mean Obvama looks more appealing every speech stupid choice in my book hes giving it away

i love obama... and i think mcain only picked this woman because he wanted more people to vote for him.. i think he figured ok hillary is out of the race now and all those woman who wnated her will now vote for me.. little did he know that millions of woman are smart and were not just voting for hillary because she was a woman.. they liked what she stood for! DUMB MCAIN.

I think the selection was grossly political.  With Palin he hopes to win disappointed women, the NRA, & the anti-abortion votes.

He had apparently paid no attention at all to qualification for the office.

i think mccain took a gamble because he saw that if he made a staid pick, he was on a losing track. so he made a risk: heads it gets him 10 points and he might win, tails it loses him 10 points and he might lose. i think in his mind, 50% chance is better than 0% chance (if he had stayed on a predictable track), so he made a big risk. we have yet to see whether that risk will pay off. but i appreciate your openness and willingness to change your mind. many voters fall too squarely behind their party and are unwilling to think critically about it.

I agree, I think it makes them look hypocritical. There were so many other more more experienced candidates they could have chosen that really would have helped their campaign.

It's obvious Palin is the wrong pick...

Palin is the one that advocate family values, religion and "abstinence only" as a form of birth control.

Palin is a failure with all three points...

Family values -  She's putting herself ahead of her newborn and daughter when they need her the most.

Religion - Palin was pregnant before she got married.  Her daughter is pregnant before getting married.  What religion advocates pre-marital s*x?

"Abstinence only" - failed to work for both Sarah Palin and her daughter.

However, Republicans don't seem to mind hypocrites.
