  1. Bankruptcies are reported to credit bureaus and stay on record for TEN years.   Charge off and other negative credit information stays on a credit report for 7 years


  2. yup. seven years. unless you go through the mountain of bullshit to petition it to come off sooner, which usually doesn't work.
