  1. She cannot get SSI for him for that unless it has cause irreversible brain damage. SSI does not pay for medical treatment, which is what he needs for the high lead levels.

Dr. R : SSI is for children that are mentally and or physically disabled, not just for disabled adults that can't work. This is available if the parents make under a certain amount.

  2. u cant get ssi for that because if u mean lead poisoning its something u probably did

  3. maybe theres health problems you dont know about,  and maybe you should mind your own business, they dont just hand out ssi checks because someone wants them  they have to be tested and checked out. its between your sister, the kid, and the dr's.

unless you are asking how she can actually go about it  (context is hard to pick up in here sometimes)  in which case, she cant unless its causing  medical problems that cant be fixed

  4. Well is he having health problems from this, developmental problems?  If so he could she jus has to fill out the proper forms and have him evaluated by the proper professionals.

  5. Why should she collect money from other people's work for her son?  Unless she is having to pay for tutors, medical bills, etc., then there is no need for money.  Social Security is meant for people who work, and - unless I'm missing something - children can't work in the United States!

  6. ssi is available for ANYONE who needs it including children. high lead levels cause brain damage-hence a disability. that is what ssi is for, people, including childen with disabilties. you also need to make a very small amount  of money to even qualify for it.

  7. I don't think he would get SSI for high lead. But I might be wrong. But I think they help more with children that more disability. Both of my boys have disability that they were born with and they get SSI for. I would call Social Security and ask them.

  8. she needs to find the number for social services and call and ask them what they suggest she does.

unless he as severe problems that is costing money or keeping her from working, then she probably won't be eligible.

    good luck. sd
