I have a nephew that has a brain tumor and he/wife have 3 children. They don't have any family near them to help out, so they need people to bring food to them, or just help with taking him to treatments every day. His wife home school their kids, so it becomes a very long and tiring day. They would appreciate any help.

  1. If they attend church, get in touch with the church and see if you can organize something.

See if there are any community service organizations in their area that you can contact.  If they can not help you, they will probably point you in the right direction atleast.

Since they homeschool, perhaps you can find out if they are involved with an association.  Most homeschoolers I know are with one that offers support, field trips, etc.-and us homeschoolers are very helpful people and I bet they would be glad to help.

A moms group I was in used to deliver meals for new mothers.  Each person would sign up for a day to deliver a meal, and then do something, even if it was only pizza.  They had a rule of staying no more than 15 minutes to drop the food off, because the point is to help the mother out not make her entertain.

You might also be able to get some distant relatives to cook meals that you or someone else could deliver-things that could be frozen.  For instance, if you are preparing spaghetti for your family, make a double batch of sauce.  It can easily be frozen, and all she would have to do is thaw it out and boil some noodles.

God Bless you for trying to help, I will pray for them and I wish you all the best.

  2. if your in the UK, visit the websites of the following:

    Tesco

    Waitrose

    Iceland

    Sainsburys

As all these places do home delivery for food

as for health care, your local GP can do home visits. Alternatively i believe social services can help
