  1. If you go to this website - http://www.travel.state.gov/

you will find all the answers to your questions. My entire family just recently got passports. We went to a post office close to our home. All we brought were birth certificates (not copies, had to have the raised lettering) and our I.D.s. We had our passports within two weeks. The website above will be a great help to you. Good luck and have fun wherever you go with that passport.

  2. See site below for all passport info and to print out the forms.  You can get the passport photos at Walgreens or Walmart, or many other places.  See secnd site to find the nearest place to submit the application.

  3. My son and daughter in law went to the post office and brought Robert's birth certificate. They took his picture there just like t hey would for you. Call them to verify this is all you need.  Of course, there is a fee for this.

  4. You need to apply IN PERSON at the post office. You'll need to bring two passport-sized photos and several other documents proving her identity and citizenship. The USPS website will tell you exactly what to bring. It takes about 90 days to get a passport, so if she's got to go somewhere soon, you need to get on the ball.

It doesn't matter WHERE you go for the photos, as LONG as they're made for passports. FedEx/Kinko's makes them, too (at least the one in my town does).

A new passport for anyone 16 and over is $100.00.
