Aim for 50% and bargain downward as needed.

Actually from my own experience they will cut all the interest off, and make you pay what is remanding right there on the spot. Or you could try to work out a payment plan with them. Just so you know when you settle debt it dose not look good on you credit report. But it sure takes a load off.
