Like rogues;  a male !

People have guessed about the size (breadth and slope) of the forehead or angle that the fins make with the tail, but there are no good methods.  I've got 6 and they all look the same too me...  It will only be obvious once their pair up-- the more aggressive one is almost always the male, and will shield the female.
