  1. yes you will need a visa to enter Switzerland :

here are all the Swiss embassies located in the US at this page to apply for a visa :

information sheet to enter the country :

  2. Green card is not an acceptable travel document to enter Switzerland.  Passports are required from all nationalities. In regard to a U.S. citizen, they will only need a passport and no visa if there stay is less than 90 days.

For the green card holder who has an Indian passport, you will need a passport and a visa to enter Switzerland (and Liechtenstein, since Switzerland administers its' immigration as well).

  3. Even if someone has a greencard, if they hold an indian passport, they are obviously Indian citizens and would need a visa to visit switzerland. However, a US citizen holding a valid US passport does not need to obtain swiss visa if they are visiting switzerland for less than 90 days.

  4. U.S. Green Card Holders:

No visa is required for foreigners who have a valid U.S. green card (Permanent Resident Card, form I-551) and a valid national passport for tourism, visits, business or medical treatment for a stay up to 90 days. The passport must be valid at least 3 months after leaving Swiss territory.

Please note that the passport stamp "processed for I-551" is not considered a green card and that general visa requirements would apply in that case. The same rule also applies for the "Notice of Action" (Form I-751) and the "Authorization for Parole" (Form I-512).
