I'm 26 years old woman ,1.62 cm height ,I live in Iran and I've got privet license and 45 hours flight and I'm going to countine for commercial pilot license but medical department of civil aviation organisation of iran says" we have height limitation for cpl "(1.65) from one year ago but I heard that no height requirements to become a pilot. As long as your feet can reach the pedals and you can see out the windshield of the aircraft, you can fly.and I could fly 45 hours with cessna and TB and they checked me with these aircrafts with any problem and excelent flight ,for cpl and IR I have to fly with them so I anticipate and sure I won't have any problem and this is a a wrong law ,plese answer my question and help me to know about height limition in ICAO ,I'm going to complain to them because I can't forget flight for only 3cm .

many thanks

  1. Sounds like somebody is giving you some big lie. There is no ICAO height requirement.

Leave Iran and you'll have no problems with the height issue.

  2. Sounds like another good reason not to be in Iran.

Unfortunately, ICAO does not issue commercial licenses or ratings, it is a rule making organization recognized by its worldwide members.

You can get your commercial license / ratings in another country that is somewhat more in touch with the 21st century.  Or you can ask the aviation authority in Iran for a waiver.  Good luck with that.

Do not 'complain to them'.  Aviation bureaucracies want facts, evidence and recommendations from people with credentials in aviation medicine which support your position.  They could care less about your 'complaints'.
