  2. You are to be commended for wanting to help educate  your grandchildren.  If it is legal in your state to do so, you might be able to pay someone who homeschools their children to homeschool your grandchildren also.  Check out the homeschooling laws for the state of Indiana at the Home School Legal Defense Association website:

    http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?St...

Some communities have homeschool coops where children (usually older ones) attend classes a few times a week (or possibly 5 days a week), but the classes usually supplement what the parents are teaching the children at home.

If you purchase a "boxed" curriculum which will include all the books, the teacher's guide with the the answers to the questions, etc., you would be able to teach your grandchildren.  Another way you could teach them is if you go  over the material before you teach it to them.  You would then know it and would be able to teach them.

I would suggest curriculum from Christian Liberty Press.  It is reasonably priced, and you would have everything you need to teach.  You can purchase the curriculum and teach on your own.  The link is below:

Another option would be to teach with the help of the Christian Liberty Academy School System (CLASS).  The link is below:

There is also a free internet website you can use to teach your grandchildren to read:

Yet another option is an online home education program where children do most of their work on the computer.  A reasonably priced one is Time4Learning; they use the same computer based learning programs as the public schools.  The link is below:

I hope this information is helpful.
