I would like to know more about wild hazelnuts, when to pick and how you eat them .?

Harvest after they go brown in the fall -- shuck & dry & enjoy.

i live in oregon, which has hazlenut trees all over the place. my parents always go hazlenut picking every fall, (september-october). they taste great when you roast them in the oven. you should also try them in your baking and cooking, they have a delicious savory flavor
