He was 57 years, 10 months, 15 days...How do i use this information to determine his date of birth...Thanks

    I get Tuesday, 24 December 1878 using that calculator.


  2. Sub 57 years from    November 1936

    that gives you  November           1879

    Sub 10 months from        Nov  that gives you  Jan

    Sub   15 days from   Jan 8 (remember Dec has 31 days) that gives you 12/25/79

    All genealogy programs have a date calculator. There are a couple of web-based ones, but I don't have a link because I use Roots Magic.

  4. Using Ted's and building on it..

    if he was in the US, then you should also be able to find him in census records 1880-1930.  1900 or 1910 also is supposed to include month and year of birth.  

    He should also have death certificate where he died.
