we plan on getting 2 but we would like to know on average how much the food would cost (per month let's say) when their adults. also for extra information, what kind of premium food would be best for them

and since some people just answer random stuff that does have to do with the subject but not the exact. DO SOME RESEARCH ON THEM. their different then domestic cats.

right now he's near 14 months old.

i will give a best answer ONLY if it is good, because i will search on recommended foods once i have answers, and the best foods get's best answer.

so give as many food brands/kinds possible. and nothing cheap please, Bengal cats require premium food that has nothing artificial fake or anything like that. nothing low cost, yes the food should be high priced. that's what high quality food is, you get what you pay for and that's good food, needed for Bengal cats.

  1. actually bengal cats are just like domestic cats now as you are never going to find f1 (domestic house cat to asian wild cat) for sale...most bengals are now multi generation.

like all breeds of cat they have some unique behaviours common to the breed like tending to be a very active cat, they also seem to have a like of water and can be vocal.

as for food ANY cat should be on a PREMIUM diet of pirmarily meat as cats are...unlike dogs...strict carnivores!

felidea, wellness, natural balance, evangers, and spacat by blue buffallo are all good!

but by far inova evo for cats and Felidea are the tops!

  2. The BEST food for ANY dog or cat is raw. It's what they eat in nature and what their bodies are designed to handle. They can't digest fruits and vegetables and grain are just complex sugars that they don't need. Grain, especially, can cause diabetes later on in life and dry food alone can cause kidney problems. They need LOTS of moisture!

  3. Ok, i'm not sure how much a month it will cost you, but Holistic Eagle Pack, has many stages of cat growth, it's all natural, high in protein, and has losts of fruit any veggie's in it! it ruins about$13-$20 a bag depending on the size and favor your cats like! http://www.eaglepack.com/Pages/SP_Cats.h...

There is also another brand called Royal Cain it has different types geared to different breeds. you should be able to find it at any petsmart, and it runs about the same in price, however it is not all natural.

Also, as far as the breed goes they are wonderful pets, they are very vocal, some people like that others don't. females are very hyper males are very lazy. but both are cuddle bugs. i really hope that you enjo your bengals, i had one when i was little, sorry that i don't remember monthly prices, it's been along time, but i will never forget my bengal(Rufus)!

  4. The best answer is talk to your vet - he can recommend the best food (wet or dry) and the proper amount to make sure your cats stay healthy and have the proper balance of proteins and nutrients.  To be able to list every food (dry and wet) would take forever, but you and your vet can come up with the best one for you and your cats (when I say you - I mean your wallet and time).  Good Luck with your new Bengals.

  5. This website continues great information about bengals and their diets.

I swear by Core food by Wellness, it contains no grains.  I also give their wet line which my cats love.

Here is another website about feeding cats.

  6. I have 2 bengal trirosette cats. They are both picky eaters and won't over eat. I leave as much food out as they want and they only eat a bite at a time. They also don't like any of the treats I have tried for them. I feed them Nutro Ultra (hard food) it's an all natural food that has nutrients and all sorts of other great stuff in there for them (visit their website for more information). I buy a 20 lb bag of cat food which costs around $35 and it lasts them about a month and a half. They love the food and do well on it. I have 1 female and 1 male the male is approx 17 lbs and the female is 15lbs. Research this food it also comes in soft food but all my cats do with soft food is l**k the gravy off of it. My bengals also wouldn't do well with a homemade diet as they won't go near any meat (chicken beef etc) weather it's cooked or raw. I hope I helped.

Also research vaccines before they are given as some aren't good for bengals.

EDIT: Be wary of vet's advice because most vets in my area don't know the first thing about bengals as they are an exotic breed.
