Because I have been told that french cuisine is famous because of its aroma and texture , noise it makes and presentation. I think there are far better cuisines in the world that have all of the above and TASTE TOO!!. I cook a lot at home, try a lot of other continental dishes. I do not gulp down food or add a lot of spice or sauce to my food, have an open mind and love to try different cuisines, however, I just cant call something tasty because it looks good. I am not biased about french cuisine but simply do not think it deserves to be the best cuisine in the world.
