wow! That is a really broad question. Do you want to know culturally, economically, politically? India is a huge country -- which is why it's called a subcontinent. It has a multitude of languages, many religions, extreme poverty, a nascent middle class in some small areas, and some very wealthy. If you really want information, you'll need to be more specific. If you just want to know what other people want to tell you about what's going on in India, your question is fine. Of course you won't be able to determine if the answerer has any knowledge...
