  1. An immigration medical consists of two parts. First you must go to an approved doctor and do a complete physical exam. The doctor will give you a look over and then you will be asked a series of questions concerning your personal medical history and that of your family. You will be asked about chronic illness, hospital stays, surgeries and STD's among other things. Also about illness and disease in your family such as cancer, diabetes and tuberculosis.

After this you will be sent for lab tests which include blood and urine samples and a chest x-ray.

All of this is done to make sure that you do not have any chronic or contagious illness.

Two years ago I had to pay about 350.00$ to get this done.  The x-rays were quite expensive.  I would plan on spending 400.00 to get it all done today.  good luck.
