I would like to know which is the most popular bank in london?

i am an indian resident and want to open an account in a british bank so that i can operate it from india as well as from london. so i would like to know which bank has good number of ATMs in london.

So long as you choose one of the big ones - Barcalys, Lloyds, HSBC, NatWest, Royal Bank of SCotland, etc - you will be able to use any of their ATM's without charge at present.  HSBC won't let non-HSBC customers use  their counters when they are busy and tend to be understaffed, NatWest have some fairly sharp charging practices - Barclays has good deals and a lot of central branches and Lloyds TSB has a lot of branches as well.
