I would like to make my cat some treats?

I have a kitty treat cookbook, and one of the recipes involves only cheese and no meat:

4 tablespoons of soft margarine

1 1/4 cup white flour

1/4 cup warm water

5 tablespoons parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine water, parmesan cheese, and margarine. Add flour and form a dough. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut with a cookie cutter. Bake at 300 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes or until cookies turn slightly golden. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.

you really shouldnt make your cat be a vegan, thats wrong. you really need to give them regular cat food or else they wont live as long....cats are not people they cant live like we can on certain foods.

Cats should have some kind of meat or poultry in their treats and food. Nothing should be all veggie. They need the nutrients to stay healthy.

I just buy Pounce Treats (Seafood Medley) for my kitten. She seems to love them.

You could cube some chicken and boil it. My kitten goes nuts for that.

Good luck.  Other than his standard food, my cat won't eat any "treats."  He will eat a little tuna, but that isn't Vegan.

Well, if you are going to give her vegan and veggie treats, might as well just give her air. The cat does not need any vegan or veggie treats as it provides little to no benefit to the cat at all, it's just like eating nutrition void food. Cat needs meat, they are obligate carnivores and they do not need veggies, unlike dogs who are omnivores. Taurine is a very important nutrient that the cat's body couldn't produce and can only be obtained through meat. Taurine deficiency will lead to a host of health problems.
