  1. Perhaps you are resident in a area where there is a Musjid?

The Musjid is the centre of all Islamic activity, and most have a Madrasah attached to it.

To gain full knowledge on Islam, you could attend classes at a Madrasah, if your interest is genuine.

That would provide an environment to meet Muslimah's.

Keeping in touch and be invite to many Muslim social gatherings, students association, etc...

  2. near you...hmm...i am in new jersey, wish you were closer really I would love to me able to meet you but ur too far! =(

i wouldnt mind assisting u online though, if u are interested u can email me via my profile, and i can send u my email address.

Thanks for asking! dont be shy =P

  3. THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN TAKING INTEREST IN LEARNING ABOUT ISLAM, SISTER.

U CANNT BE SHY SISTER , ITS A MATTER OF YOUR LIFE.

IF YOU SEE A MUSLIM WOMAN JUST GREET HER AND TELL HER THAT YOU WANT TO LEARN ABOUT ISLAM. I AM SURE SHE'LL LOVE TO HELP YOU.

I WISH I STYAED NEAR YOU SO I COULD HELP.

BUT U CAN YET E-MAIL ME @ ANYTIME YOU WANT DEAR, INSHAALLAH I WILL TRY MY BEST TO HELP YOU OUT.

  4. Hi

You should try and talk to muslim women in your area when you see them out. I am Muslim, I do not live in Indiana, but I am close to you. I live in Louisville, Kentucky if you ever heard of it. It is 2 hours from Indianapolis. You can email me at nahlaamirah@hotmail.com

  5. there is a website called interpals.net, you can go on it, make a user and make friends that are muslims near indianna. other wise muslims have a prayer every friday at a mosque and alot of people attend it, so you could find out the prayer time and go to the mosque and you will meet alot of musims. and actually I am a muslim but i dont live in indiana. but i could tell you stuff about islam. you can e-mail me at jazibkanwar@hotmail.com

  6. if you live in a college town, there will most likely be a small mosque nearby, but perhaps you are not aware of that.  As for your state, I found the following:  http://islamicvalley.com/prod/entitySear...

It has several cities listed and inshallah one is near you.  As for being shy, well my dear you will find inshallah the Muslims very friendly and hospitable so you do not need to feel awkward.

  7. Easy, just go to the nearest masjid! There are very kind people there! Usually after Friday prayer or during some event, the imam at my masjid tells the people that hey, we have a guest who would like to learn more about Islam, brothers or sisters please welcome our friend etc, and the brothers, well I dunno what the brothers do ha, but the sisters are very loving and make sure that all your questions are answered and that you make friends for sure! It might not be like that in all masjids :( but inshallah if you just go there and let whoever is in charge know that you are interested in learning about Islam, that you would like to meet sisters about it, they will more than gladly help you out. They might turn you away though, but don't get discouraged, at my masjid the imam said he does this sometimes to make sure that the person who is interested in the religion is truly interested, and that he/she will fight to keep on learning about it. This might not happen to you since you are a woman :) and that would just be plain mean, girls don't work like that. If I lived in Indiana I would love to talk with you :( but you can always email me! I'm sometimes shy myself, but you just gotta get out of the bubble if you are truly interested in something. Inshallah, I wish you the best!
