I would like to overdraft my Debit card...

I overdrafted 60 cents in my Key debit account. I now have $67 dollars in overdraft fees. Kinda outrageous, isnt it?

So my question is, do you think a $250 transaction would clear even when i'm already in the hole? I'd really like to go buy $250 worth of silver on this card and let them foot the bill. Sounds bad, right? Well, what they're doing is predatory. I'm sick of it. I work hard for that money. So they can eat the $67 AND $250 now.

  1. you can but be aware that the bank next time might cancel your account and put you in the chexsystem -- and you do not want that!!!

  2. thats fraud and becomes a crime you can be arrested for.

Also I seriously doubt your bank charges $67.00 for one charge over, sounds like 2 charges to me.

  3. You can, but as the others have said it is a crime. Generally it will not be prosecuted. What will happen is if you have any other account there they will take the difference from there. Otherwise they will report you to collections and you will be put on chex systems. Once you are on chex systems you will not be able to open a bank account anywhere. Your credit score will also be shot to h**l.
