  1. I wouldn't do this without the advise of an expert, call the Guitar Center and ask one of their tec's......if this is an expensive guitar you could ruin the value of it in years to come....I teach classical guitar, and I have three of them and I  wouldn't dare paint on any of them, to me it only cheapens it, this is only my opinion, if it's an inexpensive guitar, then do what you want.....a clef with a few notes would be cool, or the logo of your favorite band or a clef with a few notes from your favorite  piece of music !!!!!! P.S. I'm not familiar with the cg101. , but if it's over $500.00, I wouldn't paint anything on it !!!!!!!  I have an early acoustic Gibson, (circa 1940) that my Father owned and because he made it electric the value of it went down thousands of dollars.... so think about this before you do it !!!!!!!!!

  2. Hey Aj

Always remember that anything you tape , whether stickers, extra paint or designs on an acoustic guitar, will hinder the vibration and the sound.

The wood breathes and resonates and if you paint something on it or put stickers, expect the sound to downgrade.

  3. One word of advice for you -- don't do it!

Why mess up a perfectly good looking guitar with paint?
