I am thinking about getting a guitar (acoustic) and taking lessons. On a scale of 1-10 1 being easy 10 being hard, how hard is it? What is the best brand of guitar to get? And Last how expensive is it? ( guitar and lessons) Please answer and Thanks in advance.

  1. well it depends on who you are getting lessons from.

some people will just teach you how to play the songs you want to and thats it in which case its pretty easy.

but if your really passionate about it then find someone who will teach you everything about it. all the scales and all the different techniques and terms, it might make it harder but you'll know what your doing

  2. it is very easy depending on learning skills and teacher. Fender is the best guitar company. My little brother has a first act and it works very well too. It is only about 20-30 $ for an hour

    :) hope that helps

  3. it all depends on the person....and i would go with a fender, for the brand

  4. Okay, so i was like you last year. I wanted a acoustic guitar. When, I got it i practiced took lesson but i learned the guitar wasn't for me. I found it HARD and my finger hurt. lol I would give it a 7/10 on hardness unless your dedicated.

  5. 1. its kind of hard, takes practice.

    2. DO NOT GET AN EPIPHONE!

worst choice you can ever make in guitar, EVER.

i recomend starting with an electric guitar (its easier on the fingers), go with an ibanez. there the best starting guitars.

JUST DO NOT GET AN EPIPHONE, the necks warp incredibly fast... and everyone will call you a f@g.

  6. I can only answer the first question.  It's disappointingly easy.  I thought it'd be a great challenge, but was able to do hammer ons on the second day of learning.

  7. It depends how fast you pick things up. I played for a year then about 2 months ago I picked up a guitar and I could still play. It were the 1st time since I were 11 and I'm 15 now.. Not sure how expensive it is. I got my lessons free from school. If you're in school still try asking your music teacher

  8. Epiphone is the ultimate brand of guitar. It was the first guitar I've ever gotten, and it was 100 dollars. It sounded better than a 500 dollar Yamaha.

Lessons can be pretty pricy, depending on the teacher, but I think mine were 35-40 dollars an hour. I'm not exactly sure.

It's not as difficult as learning violin or trumpet, considering there is a LOT less technique involved in how to play. I'd give it a 5.

Oh, The Andrew, have you ever played Jazz Guitar? Not easy.
