Well, you need good water control and great drainage.  So it will be a raised, porous area with a very short turf - they use a dwarf zoysia or other "summer" grasses that can be kept very short but remain dense.  Then you can easity buy a cup or just set a soup can with both ends removed into a hole in the ground.
