depends what kind of modeling; age, body type etc.

there are many agencies that are legitimate and will try to get you out there and get you jobs, others take money from you and it may take a lot of investment on your part before you realize that they haven't really done anything for you, so you have to watch out for that. if they want you to put money into it, then it probably isn't a good idea.

my girlfriend models with an agency called NAM and that's working out for her so far. other reputable agencies include FORD and Elmer Olsen Models, both are top tier
