  1. You will need to remove all the old caulk first by using a razor blade-screwdriver-tweezers....whatever it takes. Wipe the area with some bleach and let dry for a few minutes. Wipe the area with some rubbing alcohol and you are ready to apply your caulk. Masking tape works great for firstimers!

  3. Another technique that works well for me is to apply masking tape on both sides of the line I want to caulk.  Remove the tape before the caulking dries.

  4. Clean the area the best you can. If you can remove the old caulk with a single edge razor blade.  Buy a good silicone caulk.   Cut the tip of the caulk tube on a 45 degree angle and apply the caulk as good as you can. Now the trick. Wet your finger and run it over the caulk smoothing it as you go. When you get excess caulk on your finger wipe it off and wet it again and keep smoothing the seam. You'll be and expert before you know it. Remember to keep your finger wet this will keep the caulk from sticking to your finger.
