I would like to reuse a bottle but i am not sure how to sanitize it?

in particular, i am looking to use a spectro acne jel bottle for a squirt bottle for soap in the bathroom. i would like to know how to sanitize this effectively. Also if you know of any tips on how to sanitize other things in order to reuse them hygenicly; e.g. a glass salsa container for preservatives, a plastic container to store loose bulk foods ect. that would be great. thanks!

You don't need to sanitize it as spectro jel is soap.  Just empty it and put the other kind of soap in.  For all the rest just wash them.

For thinner plastics, like squeeze bottles, you can wash them in hot soapy water, then rinse them in a weak bleach solution (1/4 cup of bleach per gallon of water).  Let them soak for a minimum of 10 minutes, then rinse again with plain water and let air dry.  

This method also works with water bottles.  

Most glass and plastic containers can be cleaned in the dishwasher.  The hot water and the steam drying will kill any lingering bacteria.  

I do not recommend reusing salsa containers to preserve food though.  The glass has not been tempered to the same degree as canning jars and could break when you pour hot liquids back into them.

hello boil water pour in whatever you plan to clean add depending on size of thing sea salt/table salt more is better than less. if thing has a lid put on shake and then rinse out with hot water from tap. presto clean oh and leaving something in the sunlight cleanses aswell sunlight cleanses bacteria. bi carbonate soda with hot water works aswell. vinegar is a good cleaner and has many uses (google it)

I would think it would be like sanitizing baby bottles and such wash them really good with hot water, then boil them on the stove in a pot, you may have to fill it up with the very hot water and squirt thru several times. I hope this helps you!!
