I would like to start in gymnastics but i need to now the basic things before my parents let me in to join!!?

can u email me the basic stretches and steps of them especailly with staying in shape and how to do the splits,backbends,and flips !!! I also have been in cheerleading for 4years now! i was in gymnastics for two years (ages 5&6) i'm now 10 and am very flexable but i cant do the slpits and i cant do the backbend any more like i was able to do before!please help!!!!!!!!

  1. By enrolling in a class, you learn the basics. Your parents should let you have a trial class in order to determine if you like it or not and so you can begin to learn basic stretches and moves.

  2. Basic stretches: right splits, left splits, middle spilts, back bend

    stretch for at least 20 minutes a day, that will help you get your splits

    hold a bridge for 30 seconds 2 a day, for your back bend and back handspring

    you will work on back handsprings, tucks, lay outs, front punches, and possibly fulls.
