I have a Canon SD600 and it has self timer and I have a great tripod. I want to take some photos of my fiance and I but I'm having trouble of thinking where to shoot the pictures and what kind of poses. :\

I'm thinking about going to the lake and taking some pictures there but other than that we have no pretty places in my area....all the grass is brown and it's too hot an humid for anything pretty to be growing right now. (thats texas for ya. we get two seasons, hot and humid and cold and windy...there is no inbetween ) I would like to avoid taking indoor pictures since we're living in a small two bedroom apartment and don't have much room for anything to be set-up to look even somewhat professional. Anyway, if you have any ideas for pretty pictures by the lake or anything else that'd be great. We do have a playground close by and I was thinking of a couple pictures that would be cute there. :D (no swings...so sad. :[ )

Thanks so much guys! I appreciate it! I'll post some pics of the happy couple when I get a chance. (but don't pick fun..I look all of twelve esp. since I just got braces. haha!)

  1. I'm betting that the family is much more interested in the two of you, your faces, than they are about the scenery!  Fill the frame with your faces and blur out the background.

  2. Are there any pretty buildings in your town?  My hubby and I had portraits done at the capitol building in Olympia (because that's where we lived, durrr hehe). They turned out awesome.
