Well, Im no proffesional but I simply looked this up! I acually wanted to teach my little brother who is a little afraid of water. And I had lessons when I was little, but I don't remember all the details except when my instructor finally let me go and I swam like crazy cause I thought I would die! lol Anyways, I thought this sounded sufficient for a four year old and I  hope it helps you out!
