Do they speak a bit of english over there??

will it be easy for me to navigate my way through?

How can one find real cheap accomodation and a cheap guide?

  1. Yeah some people would speak a bit English, but most people dont speak English in China.  Good luck to you


  2. 16 Jian Guo Men Wai Da Jie is next to the Beijing Friendship Store 北京友谊商店 right in the heart of Beijing about 6 kilometers east of the Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City.Very few people will speak English,but the Silk Street Market is 5 mins walk away from this place where all the sales persons speak English.It is very well connected both by bus and subway as well as by taxi.There are several hotels nearby offering very basic and cheap accommodation sometimes as low as Yuan 100 per night.

  3. I suggest you bring a little phrase book, there are a few who can in China that is but most can't, and it is better to ask the students, the younger generations ( not children of course) have better abilities in English than the older generation.
