  1. I lived in Spain, in Seville, in fact, many years ago, and, while there are many places with elevators, some places are too small to allow for additions.  I went back last year, and was very impressed with how things have improved.  Much greener, and, as mentioned by some of the previous posters, more accessible.  Clive gives you a lot of links, which should help.  Many hotels have elevators, and some have first-level rooms, which would work.  Elevators in the major monuments, and the paths at the Park (María Luisa) should give you no trouble.  People are extremely friendly there, and you'll love that (like everyone)...the thing that made me think, and I didn't notice anyone had mentioned this...the most famous landmark in Seville is the Mudéjar tower at the Cathedral...the Giralda.  Usually, you think of such a tower as having steep, winding stairs...really tight, and difficult for anyone. The Giralda is all ramps.  Might be one of the best views you'll see in Europe.  Hope you can make it.  They aren't too steep, and you should be able to do it.  Originally, it was built that way so the Muessin could ride a horse to the top to make the call to prayer.  (It was built as a minaret for a mosque which stood where the Cathedral is, before the Christians conquered the Moors who once ruled there.)

    Enjoy Seville.  It's gorgeous!

  4. Spain is becoming a wheelchair friendly country, but there will be places in the old town that they can't change due to nature of their streets.

Sevilla (Seville) is a beautiful city to visit. I'm sure you will be okay. Many hotels are accommodating disabled people as well as many tourist attractions.

    Enjoy your holiday
