  1. If you are interested in self development, I would suggest you get an intern position in an office environment.  Pizza Hut will help you a little bit but then you will dead end, you have more room to grow in an office.

  2. I think ether you are 10 years old or you are a moron.

  3. no, i would go to olive garden

  4. That's setting the bar a little low, don't you think?  I'm going to assume you are in high school.  When I was in high school I was a cable guy over the summer.  I made more money than most of my friends made during the school year.  My wife worked for an insurance agent.  Good jobs are out there.  You just have to look for them.

Pizza hut won't help you with anything except learning about work ethic (minimally) unless you are in a managerial position.

On the other side, you get a lot of free pizza!

  5. Take it from someone who worked there, you could honestly find a better job in restaurant/hospitality. Unless you don't meet age requirements, because some restaurants require a minimum serving age, usually the age to serve alcohol.  If your looking for a serving job, go someplace that gets good business to get a decent paycheck.

At Pizza Hut, you don't get a lot of hours (which is good if your in school).  If you serve, many people don't realize that it's a restaurant and therefore don't tip. They don't see you as a server, they see you as a an employee that brings out the food and drinks. So you don't make as much when you get paid on a tipped wage. They don't have good enough incentives anymore, as if they ever had.

Employee of the month used to get a $25 bonus, and a special name tag, hooray. Now it's not even that, it's a a free shirt or hat or something not worth it. You get a raise based on your store's performance, not your personal performance, and it's usually a nickel raise.

If your a delivery driver that's just as worse, especially with gas prices. It usually depends on which neighborhood you deliver to, but you don't get tipped that well unless you are on time and courtesy. Unless the customer is already a rude @$$ and thinks they shouldn't have to tip you since you already get the delivery charge that's added. Plus, if you make a mistake and they catch it after you left and don't want credit but a new order, YOU have to deliver it to them again and chances are, your not going to get a second tip, if you were lucky enough to get a first one.

One important reason is that why would you want to have to answer phone calls with customers complaining about something being wrong so they can comp a free meal? You get at least 10 calls a day with b****ing customers yelling at you for another employee's mistake.

I worked there for a while, finally came to my senses and left. I stayed though because I did like working there because of my coworkers. We thought it was h**l, but we came to work a made the best of it, having fun a lot and goofing around.

Unless you think you would like the workers at your particular store and if any of the cons I described were appealing to you then I would say go for it because it's your choice. If you want a strong experienced opinion then go look someplace else.  I'm sure you can get a good job to develop yourself that's worth the time and effort and benefits you.

  6. You might learn where they get that silicone-based synthetic cheese that they use on their pizzas/
