I would like your thoughts on these digital cameras please

hi all

can you please give me your thoughts on these cameras?

1) CanonTM PowerShot 8.0MP Digital Camera

2) SONYTM 8.1MP Digital Camera

3) SONYTM 8.1MP Cybershot Digital Camera with Super HAD CCD

for the 3rd option, what exactly is the HAD CCD? sorry i just have no idea and i need to buy a new camera

i am choosing from these three as i might get one free

but if they all 'suck' let me know and maybe i can pick something else

If you really want to know about a camera, tell us the model number.  HAD is hole accumulation diode.  It's a noise reduction technology that Sony uses.  I can't tell you how well it works.  

Generally, when shopping for  a digital camera I'd recommend paying attention to sensor size  Most have a tiny 1/2.5" sensor.  Some better ones have a 1/1.7' sensor.  A larger sensor collects more light and therefore has a picture with less noise.
