I have been doing a study on this. It seems to have happened many times. The drug is Darvocet.

  1. There is a phenomenon known as Opiate Induced Hyperesthesia.  This is an increase in pain sensation due to the use of opioid drugs.  Darvocet is an opiate.  This generally occurs after long(er) term use of opiates.

  2. No I haven't.  I've heard of allergic reactions and the medication not working, however.

  3. I took Hydracodon, the generic for Vikadin when I had an oral frenectomy and my wisdom teeth removed. The Vikadin did little to no help when it got really painful (throughout the 1st 3 days). Ice was the only thing that really helped, and if i used too much Ice it would get too cold and hurt worse. Basically the pain pills didn't do much of anything.

  4. Yes, my doctor gave me darvocet for my headaches, and they made my headaches worse.

They made me feel horrible..i hate taking them, so i dont anymore.

  5. no but if i take advil it only seems to work three hours.
