d**k Advocaat, who will step down as Russia manager to take charge at PSV-Eindhoven after Euro 2012, has promised the fans of making an emotional return to the management role at the Russian national team in near future.
Advocaat, whose contract with the national side has ended this summer, has refused to sign a contract extension. The 64-year-old has signed a one-year contract at the Philips stadium in search of greener pastures.
Media reports in Russia suggest that Advocaat has denied a lucrative offer from Dynamo Moscow in a bid to sign for the Dutch side. However, the Dutch tactician has turned down the opportunity to seek his future outside Russia.
The Dinamiki are planning to sack Sergei Silkin, the manager, after the Russian outfit failed to claim a decent Russian Premier League spot in the table. The White-blues have failed to secure UEFA Champions League berth this season
after finishing 4th this season.
“I would love to return to Russia one day. I have only signed a one-year contract at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 and this is my own decision. If Dynamo will show an interest at that time, I will seriously think about it.”
“But let's not talk about that at the moment. We've got a great tournament ahead, which we will now have to think about! And about which I have a very good feeling.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Commenting on Dynamo Moscow’s Igor Semshov’s performances, Advocaat has insisted that the 34-year-old will have to work very hard if he wants to claim a place in the starting composition.
“He is still a great player. He works at the highest level. I do not know what happened to him this spring but he has proved himself on couple of occasions.” Advocaat concluded.
It means Semshov will have to fight for a place in the national team in presence of CSKA Moscow’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Konstantin-Zyryanov-c21312 respectively.
