  1. I don't trust McCain as far as I can throw him.

  2. One of my favorite poli sci professors (a woman and a Dem) told me once..

"I'd love to have a female president, but I vote for a Democrat man over a Republican woman for president because, at the end of the day, I know her views, and I disagree"

    (or something along those lines)

I agree.  I vote according to voting records, and platforms. Not gender.

I actually support their views, so I'm happy with the choice.

However, if you do not.. you shouldn't feel obligated to vote for McCain because of her.

  3. McCain / Palin.. Sounds real good. I'm proud of my party. They are finally learning how to play politics right back at the Dem's. This will change everything. The perfect pill for my Obama hangover. Last night Obama gave a great speech. Today McCain negated it almost completely.

  4. I do support McCain and, after looking up her info, very much support her.  She has some impressive views and stats.  I have to do more research, but I've very excited about McCain's pick.

EDIT-- Well, I shouldn't say I support McCain, now that I think about it.  Its just that I prefer some of his views to some of Obama's views.  I can't say I'm crazy about him.... but in the end I'll vote McCain over Obama.

  5. I felt the same about Clinton. Although it would be refreshing to finally overcome that hurdle, I didn't support her just because her reproductive organs are inside her body, just as I don't support someone just because his reproductive organs are outside his body.

I was supporting Edwards, until he dropped out, and have supported Obama ever since.

Not for any irrelevant reasons, but because of WHO they are, and what they're likely to do.

BTW, remember that it's not just the presidency; we need to give Obama a Democratic Congress, too.

  6. Well tbh thats what I said about Clinton, I disagree with her on the war, economics, and health care.  So I didnt vote for her

So I'm trilled to see Palin, waiting to hear more about her.

The pro choice vs pro life.  I dont see abortion as a major issue for this election.  I dont see that stance changing no matter who is in office.

  7. I am happy with McCain's choice. I don't think you can ever truly know a political canidate, but from her history, she at least seems like a normal, human woman that I can relate a lot better to than these guys in suits promising a "change", yet having no idea what it's like to live in my world.

  8. Isn't it a shame that Obama did not select Clinton for VP. They would have been a shoo-in, now he has big problems.

You would vote for an almost totally inexperienced person with great oratory skills and the "morals" to vote the safe path to preserve his own political position, to control the nuclear button, because you don't like the other sides ideas? Only in America..... They should make voters take a test before they are allowed to vode. You would fail.

  9. I don't lilke any of them. They're politicians which inherently means they're sneaky and conniving.

However, out of Biden, McCain, Obama and Palin I would pick Palin any day.

She has came through on the majority of her campaign promises. She has helped get some crooked people (republicans included) out of office.

She has done a lot of good for Alaska.

Granted she is inexperienced. But at least she's actually Governed a state. Obama has even run so much as a local grocery store.

I can't look past the extremely high approval rating she has.

  10. I totally agree with the above answerer who said that Palin is someone I can relate to.  Before today I had no idea who I was going to vote for.  McCain is an old man who cant possibly understand what is going on in the real world today.  Obama was raised in a foreign country by foreign parents and has little or no allegiance to his country.  He has no charisma at all.  Hillary Clinton was a woman but it was like she was from another planet from me.  I feel like Palin is a real woman, a real mother.  She can understand the real life problems that are facing America today.  I wont be voting for McCain in November.  I will be voting for Palin.

  11. As much as I love the idea of a female VP, and would fantasize about McCain kicking the bucket, there's no way I can vote for McCain, even with her as a running mate... The issues, first and foremost, are what matters...

  12. Just because she's a woman like you doesn't mean that she has the same politics that you do.  So wait - there will be more opportunities.  May the best candidate win the presidency. And let's all hope for the best.
