is there a way to go there and stay in a nice place and do it affordably? My friend said one probably would not want to spend 10 days in Monaco, rather, stay nearby in France or something? What do you think?

  1. Not affordable at all and I have no idea what anyone would do there for 10 days.  Stay in Nice, it is about 20 minutes by train and really affordable and fun.  I stayed in Nice years ago and went on a day trip to Monaco.  Monaco is neat to see but it is super small and expensive.  Nice is also very beautiful.

  2. Staying in Monaco for 10 days is really expensive. All the nice hotels you will find there will be posh places, believe me.

I stayed at Villlefranche-sur-mer and went to Monaco a couple of times from there. Staying at a near town in South of France and making day visits to Monaco seems more reasonable.

You can also try Ibis Hotel in Nice and Cannes, they are very affordable.

  3. I have been there, while I was driving back from Cannes and I would say its far cheaper to go in a nice hotel in france. Nice or even Cannes is great! (consider the novotel in cannes!) You can drive around from there, visiting St.Tropez and monaco. Just make sure you don't go there during the F1 race or the film festival. I swear, 1star hotels become expensive and full!!!!

  4. Affordably? I doubt it, my friend went there and said it was EXPEEENNNNSSSSIIIIIVVVEEEE!!!!!!! It wasnt cheap he said, as far as hotels, food, and shopping go. There is a small village called Ez, just across the border in France and I think you should stay there. I saw Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel stay there on Passport to Europe in Ez, when she was in Monaco, so it must be good!!!!! It is probably cheaper that a hotel in Monaco, my friend regretted not staying across the border but whatever
