The President of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan concedes that he was given an invitation to attend the match in Turin, but feels the time is not right to be attending matches there.
Internazionale and Juventus have been fierce rivals in the Serie A due to their history; and what included the hunt for the Scudetto as their raison d’être  of the fierce rivalry, the Calciopoli scandal was the tipping point in their rivalry. Since then,
the two Italian clubs have been embroiled in ferocious rivalry, sometimes brimming on the verge of violent rivalry.
The Calciopoli incident was the hardest on Juventus as they were demoted to the Serie B, and two of their Scudetto (won under the management of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello), were stripped away from them. They were handed to Internazionale, who were the runners up in the
Lega in those seasons.
The Juventus board, players and fans feel hard done by the verdict as the club still maintain its innocence in the matter. Furthermore, there have been open attacks by both of the teams, and furthermore, the fixtures between these two outfits have caused
many controversies as well.
The Derby d’Italia would be taking place this weekend; in the first edition of the two ties that take place over the course of the season, this match would be played at the Juventus arena and there is no shortage of hype surrounding these matches.
What has increased the spotlight on these matches is the fact that the two teams occupy the first two positions in the Lega, with Juventus heading the Serie A standings. With stakes running high, the oil baron was quizzed whether he planned on attending
the showdown between these two sides at the Juventus Arena.
Moratti confirmed that he was invited by Andrea Agnelli, but he politely refused, citing his reasons, which were:
“I was thinking about going. I spoke to Andrea, but I don’t want to create any more tension or pressure. I know it is sad, but it’s still not time for me to come to Turin. I will sooner or later…”
The Nerazzurri patron was talking to La Stampa about the match in Turin.
