for those of you who call yourselves "christian", how many of you would admit you do not believe in God.

you play the part to keep peace with family, to make business contact or whatever reason, but you don't really believe.

  1. Yours is a politically correct question, spiritually speaking, of course!

  2. Anyone who calls themselves Christian, I assume are believers.

  3. I really am a Christian! I have a brother who claims to be an atheist. He wont pretend but he did out of respect at our Fathers funeral bow his head, I peeked to see what he would do.

  4. I would never admit to a lie , I love and believe with all my being Beloved !

    (((((Mark))))))  I miss you ~

  5. I believe in god and I am a christian

  6. I believe, in many instances especially during hard times, Christians do ask "where are you God?". And they even wish to give up!

And then wham! some thing extraordinary happens (good or bad) they believe...or not believe.

Certainly, it's very hard to pretend not to believe there's a God and still say you do and even call yourself a Christian. Well, maybe you can keep it up for a few years. But remember that defining wham moment?

It's already hard to be a struggling Christian, I think it's harder pretending to be one! You'd want to declare your "freedom, your un-yoked state" right?

Not believe in God just to keep peace or for whatever reason?

Sheeessh...so you'll pretend to be a Muslim when you go do business in Iran? Be a Hindu when you fly to close a contract in India?

  7. I was a Christian for a while, but figured out that god was a fake after I almost died of cancer at the age of nine. I went on as Christian for a few more years after that. I was too young to realize that if you know god is not real that your not Christian.

    Now I'm a Taoist.

  8. Nice mini sermon.

  9. I played the part for quite some time until I decided I had to really figure out what I believed.

I dont have to play anymore.  I know God does exists now.

    wow

my thumbs down groupies are out tonight

thumbs down for my own opinion and experiences

    ok then

  10. Personally, I believe in God but I don't believe in religion. The universe is too complex not to have been created by an infinite intelligence.  Not an old man with a beard, though...not male OR female.

It takes a lot of faith to be an atheist.

I don't think creatioinsm and evolution are mutually exclusive, but anyone who takes the Bible literally is naive.

  11. Most adults are Christian by choice. With adolescents, however, it's another story. Adolescents are still on a very rough journey in forming a close relationship with Jesus and really getting to understand who He is.

If adult Christians are finding themselves in a lukewarm state, he or she should step back and really question God's place in their lives. If He is not top priority, adjustments should be made so that relationship can be strengthened.

  12. The word "Christian" means = Christ like

How can someone be a Christian and not believe in God?  They Can't because of course Jesus believes in God - He IS God!
