It's green, about 2.5"-3.5" and it's dark green or brownish. When I cut it in half it has the insides like a lemon/lime and smelled like a lime. It has white/cream seeds that are round and flat and are about 1/4". There are many seeds. I was so daring as to taste it (even though it could be poisonous) and my tongue hasn't fallen out yet so I think it'd be fine to eat. But I wouldn't suggest it unless you know what it is. It's in Tampa, FL, growing off of a tree with medium sized leaves and it grows next to (like 5 ft away from) a key lime tree. It looks like very large key limes, minus the turning yellow. Help!!!

  1. Sounds like your tree has "jumped the fence", and gotten friendly with the key lime, maybe cross pollinated!

  2. Is it this:

    Guava - http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/order_fru...

  3. Sounds like a Ogeechee Lime.
