I would really like to know what movie this is?

Unfortunately, I don't remember much. What I do remember is a boy, living on a farm with his family. The boy falls asleep on a boat, and wakes up in some time of western with all types of characters from old western legends, and myths. I remember a character, he has something to do with tornadoes, and an african american character (Michael Clarke Duncan) with a blue ox.
