  1. Writer's Market will tell you how to submit and who is buying. However I recommend that you join a Writer's Workshop to have someone critic your work before you send it in.

  2. Send it off to reputable publishers, but get ready for rejection; because even one of the best authors of all time JK Rowling got rejected a h**l of a lot, and all those publishers must be kicking themselves now.

    Just keep trying!

If you get an agent bare in mind they will most likely like a slice of the profits 10%, 15%.

I'd love to be JK Rowlings agent...

  3. I would suggest you go to the library and hire a book on getting published. There is way too much to explain in a short answer forum like this. Also try forums like www.absolutewrite.com for tips.

  4. Go to author house. That's where I'm publishing!

  5. First find a book called "Writer's Market." It's got all kinds of tips for getting published and also a list of (presumably) reputable publishers. Also, be sure to consider submitting to medium- or even small-sized publishers if you're a first-time author. A lot of the big publishers require that you have an agent and, even then, you can really get lost in the shuffle.

  6. Get "the Writer's Market" book.

  7. you could:

get an agent to represent you

    query the editor directly

buy a copy of the Writer's Market and submit your manuscript directly to the publisher (for those that allow this)

try a 'small' press instead of a huge publishing house

    self-publish

    e-publish
