I don't know! Tell me what you think?

My Grandchildren

I’ve seen the likes of little feet, as my grandchildren crawl trying to get on their feet.

Their sweet little faces, their eyes so bright.

The tender love that shines like a light.

Their sweet expressions that make you smile.

The first words they speak, the blessing of my grandchild.

I watch them grow day by day. They learn so quickly how to run and play.

Tender hearts as pure as gold, the innocence of children, the treasures we mold.

I’m proud to be a grandparent of this little blessing.

The wondering eyes, the little messes.

Lord always keep them safe from harm.

If danger comes upon them, sound me an alarm.

Allow me to spoil them as you know I will do.

Parents don’t get angry, I did it to you.

Allow them to have their own special day.

Take them to grandmas, she’ll teach them to pray.

Savor your blessings I must insist, they grow up so quickly you won’t want to miss.

Lord, here are our grandchildren you blessed us with.

I promise to spoil them you can bet on this.

Thank you God for the family given to me, I pray you will walk with them until eternity.

  1. Lovely poem. Suggestion: L2 needs work - repetition of "feet". Try "I’ve seen the likes of their little feet, as my grandchildren went from crawling to standing" ♥
