It's kind of about the book "Night" by Elie Weisel.....

Night

By Kristen R.

No matter how many stories I read

Or how many movies or plays that I see

I will never know the pain you felt

Back in the day of the Holocaust

The ones that you loved, the young and the old

Suffered, murdered, beaten and sold

Everlasting memories vivid in your mind

Memories of all that you lost

It must have been hard letting go of Mother's hand

You did not know you wouldn't see her again

Your little sister's fate was also unknown

Now the tear in your heart can never be sewn

A young man who lost his faith

Lost his father, lost his way

Everything he knew was stolen from him

Because he was a Jew

Constantly looking death in the face

Emotions buried in the deepest place

Thoughts one cannot comprehend

For millions then it was the end

Evidence now secured behind glass

Though not broken hearts and blood-stained grass

Words on paper in print can never show

Everything you saw and know

There's a time to move on, when all our tears dry

But our memory of you will never die

And when we are left with little hope

We know that we too will make it through the night
