Answer to this depends upon type of travel agency you wanted to open, IATA is reducing it's commission only on Air tickets but there're other travel product which gives you good commission & earning. There're Outbound & Inbound tourism segregated to MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Conference & Entertainment), Medical Tourism (currently growing at around 30% per annum),Pilgrimage (International & Domestic), Leisure, Business, holiday packages,Weekend package, FIT travellers & many more. in a nutshell, India’s tourism industry is experiencing a strong growth becoming a major global destination. Travel agency is not limited to only IATA & Air Tickets.
